Flying Stars Feng Shui

Flying Star Feng Shui is commonly practised today due to the characteristic to take time as the main factor to illustrate logically that the intangible energy changes with time. Besides the physical aspects of the environment, the Flying Star theory also presents a more realistic way to illustrate the energy in the property as compared to the house chart that does not changes with time.

The logic for the dimension in Flying Stars theory is divided into 3 periods, namely; the Upper, Middle and Lower each governing 60 years, this is further branch into 9 Ages that is 20 years each. Thus Upper period will have Age1 (1864 to 1884), Age2 (1884 to 1904) and Age3 (1904 to 1924), Middle period will have Age4 (1924 to 1944), Age5 (1944 to 1964) and Age6 (1964 to 1984), Lower period will have Age7 (1984 to 2004), Age8 (2004 to 2024) and Age9 (2024 to 2064) and the cycle repeats to Age 1 thereafter.

We are in the Lower period at the Age8 now (Jan 2012), as the period follows the Hsia Calendar each new Age will start from 4 or 5 Feb each year depending on the day of first spring 立春. We recommend that you read the Basic Science of Feng Shui by Grand Master Vincent Koh as it will give a clear illustration on how to plot the Birth Chart of your property.

There are a few components in the Birth Chart that we would like to share. Firstly, it is the Base Star which relates to the centre numbers of the chart. Next, the Mountain Star that relates to the left number of the chart. As for the Water Star, it relates to the right number in the chart and lastly, the Annual Star that will affect the energy in your property yearly.

Basic Star Intro

In order to understand and decode the chart, you must understand each individual stars and their properties. The auspicious and inauspicious effect is often time based and is either timely or untimely. Generally Star 1, 6 and 8 are auspicious and Star 9 is the future timely star that could be used. Please note that energy changes could be chart in terms of months and days too. But, we will not go in depth on this portion.

Let’s review the characteristics of each star when it is timely and untimely:

Flying stars property

As you can see, one of the critical aspects is timing, we have to take note during the Age of 8, the usable stars are 1, 4, 6, 8 and 9. You will also notice that different trigram represents different members in the house i.e. Northwest represents Father and Southwest represents Mother, thus the stars combination could reveal the situation in the house and the affected personnel.

I hope this will trigger you to explore more, using both Eight House Mansion (auspicious/inauspicious directions) and Flying Stars Feng Shui (auspicious/inauspicious sectors) for your next house audit.

The new combination of flying stars for 2012 will take effect from 4 Feb 2012. Are you prepared to welcome the Water Dragon?

We at Jin Ding, would like to wish you and your family a healthy and wealthy year ahead.
